I’ve been doing my own pedicures since I moved out of state 3 years ago and haven’t found a new regular nail shop. But this was my first time using a gel polish.The lamp is very small and feather weight. And it came in a very small box with the colors, so I keep it all in that box for easy storage. I read the instructions and some reviews online before I started using it. Following all the suggestions, I found it was a pretty easy process. As it was noted in many reviews, the polish is very thick AND the bottles are very small. So I made sure to only get a small amount on the brush before applying. I also made a point to use the heat lamp for the specified amount of time and not under nor over extend the time. My pedicure has lasted over a month and is still looking fresh (since my nails don’t grow fast.). My only con would be the colors that came with my kit. I prefer bright-bright colors or demure/soft pastels. But I’m gonna try all these colors to see if any grow on me. If you’re thinking of trying gel polish at home, the price makes it worth the try.
